ACS CALGARY

ACS CALGARY (formerly ARES CALGARY) is a public service organization that provides radio auxiliary communications services during emergencies, disasters or in support of public events.

Every licensed amateur, regardless of membership in any other local or national organization is eligible to volunteer in ACS CALGARY. We bring Calgary and area amateur radio operators together through community, technology and excellence, providing radio auxiliary communications services during emergencies, disasters or in support of public events.

Training may be required or desired to participate fully in ACS CALGARY. Please inquire for specific information. Because ACS CALGARY is an amateur radio service, a radio amateur certificate is desirable.

A catastrophe can happen at any moment. Are you prepared? Are you willing to help out in times of need? Being a licensed amateur radio operator puts you in a unique position with equipment that may be invaluable in an emergency or disaster situation. Providing radio communications during public events is another way ACS CALGARY participates in, and gives back to the community.
